MILD HYBRID TECHNOLOGY.

M440i xDrive models are equipped with Mild Hybrid Technology, which provides a sharper power delivery and greater efficiency. Via a starter generator, kinetic energy gathered during braking or coasting is converted into electricity then stored in an additional 48V battery. This energy is then used to supply the electric vehicle systems and support the internal combustion engine.

The 4 Series’ dynamic excellence is enhanced by precisely-tuned chassis technology. The standard lift-related dampeners reduce body movement on bumpy road surfaces and improve handling around corners, refining the balance between sporty driving and long-distance comfort.
